[ECOLOG-L] Animal physiology lab activities (teaching)

Hi all,

I am organizing a lab/recitation titled "Physiological Adaptations in 
Animals" that meets for one three-hour period per week.  It is offered 
to upper-level undergraduates majoring in biology.  I'd like to mix 
literature discussions with real classroom demonstrations.  I would 
greatly appreciate suggestions for classroom activities, experiments, 
and your general experience in this field.  We'd like to avoid a lengthy 
IACUC review, so invertebrate subjects are preferred.
