Hello,
While fishing in the pond back home over father's day I noticed that all our largemouth bass hag little yellow dots around the edges of their fins where they met the body. I dissected one and found that the dots were actually little pods containing 3-4mm long worms. During the dissection I found a few more in the fillet of the fish and near the mouth, but none in, on, or near the digestive tract. The pond is also stocked with brim, catfish, and Israeli carp; all of which are seemingly unaffected by the parasite. If anyone has any information as to what these guys are, where they possibly could have come from, or how to get rid of them I would be very grateful. Hope all is well.

Thank you,
Michael Simpson
