Dear colleagues,
I am exploring a project working on pathogen ecology in fish, especially
chronic disease states and impacts on growth/fecundity. Some of the
fish are quite small 2-15 grams and the usual technique of collecting
blood from the caudal vein is not really an option. Furthermore, to
avoid stunting/killing the smaller fish I need to collect a few ul at
most (fine for my analyses, but difficult to imagine in practice).
Do you have any suggestions about a good/proven/plausible technique?
Can you suggest any contacts who might have relevant expertise?
