Hello all,

As you may know the theme of this year's ESA annual meeting is "Enhancing
Ecological Thought by Linking Research and Education". ESA is planning a "High
School Educators' Ecological Literacy and Research Day" that will take place
on Wednesday (August 6, 2008) during the meeting, focusing on how high
school educators can integrate ecological literacy and research into their
teaching practice.

In conjunction with teacher day we are compiling a teacher resource packet
with lesson plans, lab protocols, student materials, websites, CD-ROMs,
DVDs, data sets, and inquiry tools--anything useful to teach ecology or
environmental studies. If you have any resources you wish to share or
recommend from use in your own classroom, please email me at
[EMAIL PROTECTED] Thank you to all who have already contributed.

Additionally, do you know any HS teachers or informal educators who would
want to come to "Teacher Day"?* * There are still spots available! To
register for this free event, please point interested teachers to

See you at the meeting,
