This position is a full-time position for one semester, Spring 2009.

Position Available:     Fixed Term Fisheries Biology Position in the Department 
of Biological Sciences.

Salary: Commensurate with academic qualifications and experience and IFO 
criteria.

Date of appointment:    January 6, 2009

Responsibilities:       Teach BIOL 322 Ichthyology and BIOL 438-538 Ecology of 
Fish Populations (lectures and labs).


Qualifications and
experience:     The successful candidate will have an advanced degree (M.S. or 
Ph.D.) in a field related to the courses or American Fishers Society 
certification.  Previous teaching experience related to the assigned courses is 
preferred.  The successful candidate will have demonstrated ability to teach 
and work with persons from culturally diverse backgrounds.



Department:     The department has 23 full time faculty offering 65 
undergraduate courses each year and twelve graduate-only courses.  We advise 
600 undergraduates in a range of biology programs:  General Biology, Biology 
Teaching, Biomedical Sciences, Biotechnology, Ecology, Wildlife Biology and 
pre-professional programs in Allied Health.
