* Seasonal Crew Lead Position*

*JOB DUTIES INCLUDE:** ***

   - Performing California Spotted Owl and  Northern Goshawk  field surveys
   to established protocol
   - Crew Lead Position: Leads crews of 2-5 people in surveys (GS-4, 5,6,7)
   - Surveying requires good physical fitness for hiking off-trail in steep
   and rugged terrain, driving on dirt roads, and working unusual hours


   - Assistance with restoration projects
   - Support projects and goals of resource program



*SALARY:** ***

   - $11.25 – 18.75  per hour
   - Limited housing available


*LOCATED *on the Eldorado National Forest, in the Sierra Nevada Mountains
between Sacramento and Lake Tahoe; general location is between Hwy 80 and
Hwy 88.**

September 2009.  Start dates may be negotiable and depending on district
(March-May 2009).

*BASIC QUALIFICATIONS:*

·         Must be at least 18 years of age and have a current valid driver's
license.

·         Must have graduated with a bachelor's degree with a minimum of 24
semester hours of courses in the Natural Sciences, Biology, Conservation, or
other related fields.

·         Must be physically able to perform the job.

·         Must be a United States citizen or national (resident of American
Samoa or Swain Island).
