Dr. Ellis:

Thank you for the review of R manuals - it's useful information for me.

I tried to join the R*evolution several years ago, but the slope was a
little steep for me. I'm academically isolated, and statistical analysis is
no longer a necessity for my applied tasks. More like a service I can
perform for the work group when time permits.

Can you recommend any distance learning or intensive (2 - 10 day) courses
designed to bring newbies into the R fold? I'm looking for something that
is not rock bottom introductory, but more like an agressive review.
