Bill, a significant quibble with your wording.
I suggest changing "Evolution is just one of many scientific concepts
that threaten society and thus generate hostility" to
"Evolution is just one of many scientific concepts that ALLEGEDLY
threaten society and thus generate hostility."
We should be careful and not give the "downfall of civilization without
a literal interpretation of the Bible" arguments our scientific endorsement.
