I wish to cordially invite you, in my capacity as Guest Editor, and on behalf of the publisher, to contribute a manuscript (Review,
Original Research paper or Short Communication) to a Special Issue of Functional Ecosystems and Communities
(http://www.globalsciencebooks.info/Journals/FEC.html), published by Global Science Books, Ltd., UK (www.globalsciencebooks.info),

We envisage including all aspects, theoretical or applied, natural science or social science, economic or management, perspectives
of restoring forest landscape, including: reviews on recent developments in sub-disciplines of restoration ecology; restoration activities,
practice, policies and case studies of forest restoration around the world;
novel experimental studies, innovative research, effective
treatments, new theories, new directions, new methodologies, reliable
monitoring and new techniques (e.g., models) in ecological restoration.
We also welcome papers describe integrated experimental, observational, and
theoretical studies of the restoration of soil, air and water when
set in an ecological restoration context.
Please submit a response to my invitation by latest the 15th May, 2009, together with a provisional title and a list of the co-authors to my
