The Ohio Invasive Plants Council presents the 2010 Ohio Invasive Plants
Research Conference: Connecting Research and Land Management.
February 18 at the Indoor Adventure Center and Franklin Park
Conservatory in Columbus, OH.
Ohio's third Invasive Plant Research Conference brings together land
managers and scientists to improve our understanding of ecology and
management of invasive plants that threaten Ohio's natural ecosystems.
Richard Mack, who has conducted pivotal studies on invasive species
proliferation, effects, and control, will give the keynote address,
entitled "Eradication or control? Combating invasive plants through a
lump sum payment or on the installment plan". Researchers will present
their invasive plant studies, while a land manager panel discussion will
examine invasive plant management strategies. The poster session will
give managers and researchers the opportunity to interact. Participants
will also have the opportunity to network while exploring Franklin Park
Conservatory.
CFE credits will be offered.
Poster submissions will be accepted through *December 31.*
