Aloha, Some of you may be interested in an upcoming summer institute that incorporates topics regarding links between ecology and health:
This first UHM-Office-of-Public-Health-Studies (OPHS)/UC-Berkeley Summer Institute has as its theme: New Perspectives In Global Health: Integrating Ecological, Social, and Biological Sciences. Courses will be team-taught, with outstanding faculty presenters from OPHS-UHM, UC-Berkeley SPH, Mae Fah Luong University-Thailand and CDC. The SI will offer four graduate-level courses (1 credit each) from June 20 through July 2, 2010 here at the UHM campus. Each course is just $372, and registration is through the UH Outreach College. If you are a current UH student, all you need to do is register, since you are already enrolled in the UH system. Please check out the Summer Institute website and register soon if interested, since class space is limited. We look forward to seeing you at the 2010 OPHS~UC-Berkeley Summer Institute. http://www.hawaii.edu/publichealth/ecohealth/si mahalo, Holly Jessop UHM NSF IGERT Fellow [email protected]
