Funding is available for a M.S. Research Assistantship in Forest Management/Ecology in the Department of Forestry at Southern Illinois University. Current research focuses on the response of forest communities to management and natural disturbance. The assistantship carries a competitive stipend, tuition waiver, and health insurance for 2 years. Anticipated start date for assistantship is August 2010. Minimum qualifications include a B.S. degree in forestry, ecology, biology, or related field, 3.0 GPA and 1000 GRE (V+Q) score. Experience with GIS is preferred.
