Although this book is marketed as being Bayesian-only and WinBUGS-specific, it does a good job of relating a very general way of looking at statistical models for ecological data to analysis of variance and regression (with a couple of more complex chapters at the end). All the analyses in the book are carried out using frequentist (in R) and Bayesian (in R/WinBUGS) approaches. It's an easy read considering the material it covers and it would nicely complement to Gotelli/Ellison.
