The Department of Biological Sciences at Auburn University invites
applications for a 9-month non-tenure-track faculty position in
biological sciences beginning August 16, 2011. The position is a
one-year appointment and is subject to annual renewal based on
performance and funding. The successful candidate should be broadly
trained and will be expected to teach courses in introductory biology
and either microbiology or anatomy and physiology.
Applicants must have a Ph.D. in Biological Sciences or a doctorate in
a related field and demonstrable teaching experience. Desired
qualifications include a strong record of exemplary teaching at the
undergraduate level and good interpersonal skills. Excellent
communication skills are required. The candidate selected for the
position must be able to meet eligibility requirements to work in the
United States at the time appointment is to begin, and continue
working legally for the proposed term of appointment. In support of
