* Field Fisheries Positions * Hanson Environmental, Inc. (http://www.hansonenvironmentalinc.com/), based in Walnut Creek, California, has several full and part-time temporary positions available for fisheries biologists, field technicians, and boat operators, for a project involving tagging and releasing juvenile salmonids.
Location: Walnut Grove, California; Salary: Competitive based on experience and responsibility. A background in biological sciences is preferable; Dates: Training will begin in late February (approximately February 28), followed by the start of the project during the first week of March. The project will last approximately 45-60 days and will end around late April; Travel expenses: Reimbursement for travel and lodging will be in accordance with California contract specifications; Applicants will be hired as temporary employees; Experience in handling juvenile salmonids, small boat handling, and previous field work would be advantageous; and Boat operators need prior boat handling experience, but no certification is required.
