Sweet Briar College announces a one-year full-time position in the Department of Biology.
Teaching duties include introductory biology, an upper-level evolution course, and a sophomore-level course in the candidate’s area of expertise. The successful candidate will be expected to mentor 1-2 undergraduate research students per semester in projects related to his or her own research or field. This position is ideal for a recent Ph.D. interested in gaining teaching experience. Sweet Briar College is a liberal arts college for women on 3200 acres in Virginia. Class sizes are small, and labs are limited to 16 students. Many of our courses and research projects take advantage of campus natural areas and plant and animal populations. We have laboratory facilities for organismal, physiological, and molecular biology, and enjoy a close relationship with other disciplines in the natural sciences.
