Is this a system that undergraduates would be able to operate with enough training? (how much training?) Are there alternative machines?

I'm curious if anybody could comment on the performance, usability, and
reliability of the Lachat 8500 FIA (or point me in the right
direction). I would be primarily be interested in using it for nutrient
analysis of water and soils, as well as foliar nitrogen.
