I have an opportunity in my lab for a Sept 1 start for one graduate
student or post-doctoral fellow, who happens to be of Spanish citizenship,
to work on problems of wildlife-habitat associations. Ideally the student
would examine the habitat selection patterns of white-tailed deer and elk
in Saskatatchewan for the purpose of predicting routes of transmission of
chronic wasting disease from deer to elk in the wild. This would involve
analysis of existing data (several years of telemetry), and would be a
good opportunity for a short M.Sc., Ph.D., or post-doc. I have several
other opportunities for post-docs to work with existing data, including
habitat and life history data collected for the wild horses of Sable
Island, Nova Scotia.

Funding would be through the following scholarship described below, if
successful. The process to apply through my lab is that the potential
candidate immediately contact me by email and include in that initial
email a CV and copies of academic transcripts. More information on my lab
can be found at: http://mcloughlinlab.ca/lab/
