I have been notified by the USA Science and Engineering Festival organizers have notified me that we need to finalize our booth descriptions and list of participants and contributors by mid-September. Thus, it is important that you coordinate with us by that time (though even if you are late or don't anticipate being able to, please let me know and we can try to work around this deadline!!!).

We are still seeking both sponsors (for financial contributions to help with travel costs for volunteers and organizations like Audubon Insectarium, SASI, the Arthropod Genomics Consortium, some labs doing cool things like the "cyborg beetle" lab, the company that provides the giant robotic insects for events, etc.), participants (organizations or other entities who want to come and show off what they do that fits with one of the 6 booth themes), contributors (those who can't send someone physically but can provide materials like posters, live and dead insect specimens, pamphlets, display items, things to hand out and other things that will contribute to one or more of the booth themes) and volunteers (individuals who can come and help, representing an entity or just on their own). I anticipate that we will be getting all the sponsorship within the next 2-3 months. We expect that if we meet our sponsorship targets ($5,000-10,000), that most participants will have access to some assistance with travel. If you want to come and participate, identifying sponsors at this stage would be the most important thing to do right now! Otherwise, let us know what you can bring to the "table" to make this section a success! :)

Also, of you know of or are a member of any Entomology CLUBS (anywhere, but particularly in the Washington DC/Northeast USA area) please pass this along to them!
