Dear Colleagues, The NRCS National Easement Assessment Project (NEAP) will be hosting a two- hour planning meeting on Monday, 7 November 2011, from 12:15 – 2:15 p.m. during the 18th Annual Conference of The Wildlife Society in Waikoloa, Hawaii. The NEAP is a collaborative partnership between the USDA NRCS Easement Programs Division and the University of Tennessee Institute of Agriculture focused primarily on developing a monitoring program that will provide annual estimates of biological condition on NRCS wetland, grassland, and forest easements. The purpose of the planning meeting will be to provide an overview and update of NEAP activities, and discuss plans for future directions. We intend to divide the meeting into informational presentations, and a panel discussion with NEAP Team members and meeting participants.
The NEAP Team would like to extend an invitation to TWS members to participate in this meeting; attached is a draft agenda. Box lunches will be provided. Space is limited to 25 participants, thus if you are interested, please email me at [email protected] by Monday, 26 September 2011. With your email, please indicate your affiliation, expertise, and interest in participating. Additional information on NEAP may be found at: http://neap.tennessee.edu/. Thank you for considering attendance at this national planning meeting for NEAP. We look forward to the discussion! Best regards, Katie Edwards NEAP Project Coordinator
