Title: Tenure Track Assistant/Associate Professor Plant Physiology

General Information: 
The position is for an Assistant Professor (tenure track) or Associate 
Professor (tenure track or tenure eligible), nine month appointment. 
Preference will not be given to a particular rank; all applicants will be 
judged in accordance with their years of experience. We seek a candidate 
with a Doctorate, at least two years of research experience after the 
doctorate, and expertise in plant physiology sufficient to add to and 
collaborate with current expertise in the school. The job duties include: 
teaching undergraduate and graduate courses in Biology; training graduate 
students; providing service for the school, college, university, and 
community; conducting research and publishing original research results; 
applying for grants. The candidate must have the ability to teach lectures 
and laboratories for undergraduate students and graduate students in plant 
physiology and related areas, and the ability to direct undergraduate and 
graduate students in plant physiology research. The individual will be 
expected to solicit external funding to support an active research program 
and contribute to service duties. 

Qualifications: 
Minimum Qualifications: -- Doctorate in Biology or related field -- 
Commitment to excellence in teaching -- Evidence or potential for 
excellence in teaching -- Demonstrated research and publication record -- 
Minimum two years of research experience past the doctorate -- Potential 
or past success securing external funding -- Ability to teach 
undergraduate plant physiology course -- Potential or past experience in 
supervising research students 

Preferred Qualifications: -- Teaching experience at the university level --
 Ability to teach other courses in areas of need (e.g., cell biology, 
molecular biology, general biology, plant anatomy, etc.)
