The IPCC Task Force on National Greenhouse Gas Inventories is now inviting experts to review the first order draft of this new guidance on estimating anthropogenic emissions and removals from wetlands and organic soils. The first order draft of the Wetlands Supplement, the “2013 Supplement to the IPCC Guidelines on National Greenhouse Gas Inventories: Wetlands”, will be open for expert review for 8 weeks starting on 16 April 2012 and will remain open until 11 June 2012.
Information about the Wetlands Supplement can be obtained from http://www.ipcc-nggip.iges.or.jp/home/wetlands.html In order to be thoroughly reviewed, it needs to be examined by a wide range of inventory compilers and experts in the IPCC Guidelines as well as wetland and soil experts.
