Dear all,

Does anyone have any recommendations for portable behavioral data
collection software? I am aware of the Observer system and J-watcher
already but I am looking for something that is more affordable than
Observer and better maintained/supported than J-watcher that would run on a
PDA or as an ap for an iPhone/Android but with outputs which can then be
transferred to a typical PC. At its most basic, it needs to time-stamp
text entries by a user and save as them as it goes. Added features that
would be beneficial would be some sort of search and classification that
allows you to pull out certain types of information (e.g. all entries
involving individual X or behavior Y). I've searched online but so far not
found many alternatives, I'd appreciate any suggestions.

If you reply directly to me I can compile and post to the rest of the list
serv.

Thanks
-Shermin
