Job Opening: Lecturer, Biology and Environmental Studies, AMHERST COLLEGE

The Department of Biology and the Environmental Studies Program at Amherst 
College invite applications for a Lecturer to begin July 1, 2013. This is a 
full-time appointment with multi-year renewal, contingent upon a successful 
review. Teaching duties are two courses per semester and will include 
participation in an introductory laboratory course in biology and an 
introductory course in environmental studies. The candidate is also expected to 
develop courses in interdisciplinary areas such as conservation biology and in 
areas accessible to non-science majors. In addition, the successful candidate 
will maintain an active research program that involves both biology and 
environmental studies students. A completed Ph.D. in ecology, evolution, or 
conservation biology is required. Post-doctoral experience is preferred.
