Positions are available for a potential upcoming USAID funded project in 
Bangladesh. USAID’s Bengal Tiger Conservation Activity is centered on 
conserving Bangladeshi wildlife, with a focus on the Bengal tiger, through 
increased research activities, mitigating human-wildlife conflict, 
combatting illegal wildlife trade, developing innovative private public 
partnerships and outreach activities, and providing alternative livelihoods 
for forest users.

These positions are contingent upon proposal award and will be temporary 
assignments through WildTeam or another consortium partner (Smithsonian, 
IUCN). Details will be provided at time of interview.

Chief of Party
• Senior level professional with a minimum of 12 years in implementing 
natural resource
management, biodiversity conservation or climate change adaptation projects 
in developing
countries.
• International experience in developing countries, preferably including 
South Asia/Bangladesh.
• Masters or Ph.D. in wildlife management, natural resource management, 
environmental
management, ecology, environmental science, or other relevant field.
• Proven leadership in the administration of similar activities with skills 
in strategic planning,
management, supervision and budgeting. Extensive experience working with the 
USG or
international donors is critical.
• Proven experience and knowledge in promoting the role of gender in 
wildlife and/or biodiversity
conservation.
• Demonstrated ability to lead multi-disciplinary teams and develop a 
network of contacts among
international donor officials, GOB, and non-government staff. Evidence of 
excellent skills in
intercultural communications and proven experience in facilitating dialogue, 
coordination, and
collaboration wildlife and/or biodiversity conservation.
• Possesses a demonstrated ability to establish strong working relationships 
with senior
representatives of national and local government, the private sector and 
civil society.
• Excellent communication skills in English (Foreign Service Institute [FSI] 
level IV), both written
and orally. Knowledge of Bangla is preferred.

Deputy Chief of Party
• Senior level professional with a minimum of 10 years in implementing

environmental management, or a related field (PhD preferred).
• Extensive experience in wildlife conservation or similar 
environment/climate change work
for international donor/USG agencies or international NGOs.
• Experience in wildlife conservation in developing countries, preferably 
including South
Asia/Bangladesh. Experience working in tiger conservation or in a tiger 
range country preferred.
• Excellent communications skills in English, both written and orally. 
Knowledge of Bangla
strongly preferred.
Financial/Procurement Specialist
• Minimum 10 years’ experience in financial management, accounting, 
procurement/contracting,
or a related field relative to international development.
• Minimum of a Master’s degree in international finance, business 
administration,
financial management, accounting, or a related field.
• Extensive experience in financial and/or procurement work for 
international donor/USG
agencies or international NGOs. USAID experience strongly preferred.
• Significant experience in managing sub-grants and sub-contracts.
• Excellent communications skills in English, both written and orally. 
Knowledge of Bangla
strongly preferred.

Monitoring and Evaluation (M&E) Specialist
• Minimum 10 years’ experience designing, managing, and implementing multi-
disciplinary and
results-based M&E surveys, preferably in a wildlife/natural resource 
management context.
• Experience in working in South Asia preferred.
• Minimum of a Master’s degree in a relevant field.
• Extensive experience in M&E work for international donor/USG agencies or 
international
NGOs. USAID experience strongly preferred.
• Excellent communications skills in English, both written and orally. 
Knowledge of Bangla
strongly preferred.

Gender Specialist
• Minimum 7 years of professional work experience in gender analysis on 
development
programs, preferably related to wildlife conservation or natural resource 
management.
• Advanced degree in international development, organizational development, 
gender
studies or other relevant field.
• Familiarity developing M&E performance indicators for gender-related 
interventions.
• Prior experience working on USAID-funded projects and knowledge of USAID 
gender
policies/strategies strongly desired.
• Excellent communications skills in English and Bangla, both written and 
orally.

Grants Manager
• Minimum 7 years’ experience in financial management, accounting, 
procurement/contracting,
or a related field relative to international development.
• Minimum of a Master’s degree in international finance, business 
administration,
financial management, accounting, or a related field.
• Extensive experience in financial and/or procurement work for 
international donor/USG
agencies or international NGOs. USAID experience strongly preferred.

preferred.

Environmental Compliance Specialist
• Minimum 7 years of professional work experience related to environmental
compliance, preferably in South Asia.

Enterprise/Partnerships Specialist

Community and Field Coordinator

Environmental Policy Specialist and Government Liaison
• Minimum 7 years of professional work experience at the policy level, 
preferably in a
development, wildlife conservation, or natural resources management context.

• Experience in high level environmental policy discussions and experience 
working with
the government officials required.
