A postdoctoral fellow position is available in the Fukami Lab at Stanford 
University (www.stanford.edu/~fukamit/). The successful candidate will conduct 
NSF-funded laboratory and field research on the community assembly of nectar-
inhabiting bacteria and yeasts. There will be opportunities to develop 
independent and collaborative research. Experience in fungal and/or bacterial 
molecular ecology and/or one or more of the following fields is desirable: 
experimental evolution, pollination biology, chemical ecology, or hummingbird 
ecology. Initial appointment will be for one year, with the possibility of 
extension for one or two additional years, contingent on performance and 
funding availability. Start date is preferably February 2014, but flexible. To
