LUREC provides an excellent outdoor teaching laboratory for both conservation and restoration projects. The student farm and the IES biodiesel program are two examples of student-run businesses that serve as educational platforms for both entrepreneurial sustainable business practices and solutions to environmental problems. (For more information about the IES, please visit its website: <http://luc.edu/sustainability/index.shtml>http://luc.edu/sustainability/index.shtml.)
