Position: Summer Research Assistant - Chemical Analysis of Soils & Waters

Position Summary:
The Ecosystems Center of the Marine Biological Laboratory seeks
applicants for a full-time summer research assistant for a project
that examines the effects of the environmental impacts of increased
fertilizer application in sub-Saharan Africa. The individual will
perform basic laboratory analytical procedures.
Additional Information:
Duties include chemical analysis of water and soil samples, quality
checking and organization of data and preliminary data analysis. Some
laboratory skills and familiarity with spreadsheet software required.
Basic Qualifications:
Applicants must have a BS or have significant course work in
chemistry, ecology or environmental science or related fields.
Candidate would be expected to live in the Woods Hole region.
Preferred Qualifications:
Some background in chemistry, environmental science or related fields
is preferred. Demonstrated skills in attention to laboratory detail,
data organization analysis preferred.
