The following describes on-going exploration being live-fed from the Gulf
of Mexico. They have had some rough seas and periodic loss of satellite
connection but it's better than space exploration, in my opinion.

Hi All - an update: We experienced very rough seas onboard NOAA
Ship *Okeanos
Explorer *yesterday and delayed our planned dive at the Monterrey wreck
sites. We expected weather to be questionable today, so dove an alternate
canyon site.

We are planning to dive the Monterrey shipwrecks tomorrow and Friday if
you'd like to tune in. Tomorrow the plan is to deploy the ROV at 0830
Central, and the vehicle should arrive on bottom at about 0930 to start the
dive at Monterrey C. We'll be working there for about 4 or so hours before
pulling the ROV off bottom and transiting over to Monterrey A, where we'll
work for another 2 hours or so. On Friday we'll visit Monterrey B.

You can view the live video feeds online at:

And get more background about the wreck sites by visiting:

We hope you'll tune in!
