Nicole, I am so glad you posted this.

The One Health movement is a very popular movement in veterinary schools
right now, but I don't think the movement has done a good job of involving
medical schools, the scientific community, or practicing veterinarians yet
(correct me if I am wrong).

The idea has been around for a while. If you are unfamiliar check out this
short youtube video <https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=gJ9ybOumITg>.

If this is something you are *interested in, I'd encourage you to get
involved!*

Check out the One Health Commission <https://www.onehealthcommission.org/>'s
website to *check out One Health events* and post events you know of.

A group of veterinary students from different schools recently started
talking more and a facebook group "Students for One
Health<https://www.facebook.com/groups/studentsforonehealth/>"
and Linked-In page "Future leaders in one health" were created. We'd love
for you to join us.

In North Carolina, we have the NC One Health
Collaborative<http://nconehealthcollaborative.weebly.com/> which
holds one health intellectual exchange groups and the NCSU veterinary
school has a One Health Interest
group<http://onehealthncsucvm.wordpress.com/>which has just formed
(the website is still being updated).

*If you'd like to talk more, get involved, or give a talk on One Health let
me know!*

Thanks,
Lauren
