Hello I wrote a similar question a while ago but am renewing this request. We are running a yearly undergraduate field course in ecology and want to purchase some PDA devices for collecting field data. They should have gps, be robust and have a good battery. Wifi is less important but handy. We want dedicated field equipment that wont be used by students for other purposes (surfing email phone etc) so smartphones are not so good. Most of our data is just form filling and spreadsheets in access or excel.
Any recommendations for ~ $300 per unit? Thanks Tania Bird
