The Colombo Lab (http://ux1.eiu.edu/~recolombo/my_lab.html) at Eastern 
Illinois University seeks a motivated student to assess the recruitment 
of the invasive Asian Carp in tributaries of the Illinois and Wabash 
Rivers. The overall aim of this project is to assess if Asian Carp are 
reproducing in tributaries and if they are how large does a tributary 
need to be for recruitment. Students with experience in fisheries 
sampling are especially encouraged to apply.

This project is part of a collaboration between the University of 
Illinois' Natural History survey and EIU. As such the successful 
applicant will be co-advised by Dr. David Wahl.

Minimum Requirements: GPA > 3.0 and GRE > 309

Preferred Requirements: Experience with fisheries research methods

Benefits: Full Tuition Wavier and stipend ($15,360/year). Funding 
available for travel to conferences.
