We are currently seeking a PhD student for a project that is focused on plant-insect interactions and responses of beneficial natural enemies. The student will be enrolled in the Department of Entomology at Michigan State University working with Dr. Jared Gregory Ali (Interactions.ent.msu.edu). Individuals interested in chemical ecology, plant-herbivore interactions and the ecology and evolutionary biology of such interactions are encouraged to apply. Applicants should be comfortable working in both field and laboratory conditions. Funds for stipend and tuition are available for 3 years with extension. Preference will be given to students with a prior MSc in a related field, ideally familiar with chemical ecology and at least basic knowledge in statistical analysis. Candidates should be available to start as early as August 2015 (Fall semester).
