Course: Multivariate analysis of ecological data
  26 Jan - 6 Feb 2016

Are you a PhD student or researcher in ecology or nature
protection? Have you collected data to be analysed with
multivariate statistical methods? Do you want to learn
what the CCA, RDA, db-RDA, variation partitioning,
principal response curves, or PCNM (db-MEM) methods are
about? Do you want to include species traits and functional
diversity into your toolbox? And do you want to get
started on the analysis of your own data?

Then come to our course which we are running already for
17 years and which was attended by more than 300 students
and researchers. We offer a mixture of introductory
lectures and practicals to master wide-range of statistical
methods with the Canoco 5 software, as well as opportunity
to work on your own data sets with one-to-one consultations
by the lecturers.
This course is now open for applications, see the
"Your application" page at our course site:

  http://regent.prf.jcu.cz

Both lectures and practicals are based on the contents of
the second edition of our textbook Multivariate Analysis
of Ecological Data using Canoco 5, which we have recently
published with the Cambridge University Press:
  http://www.cambridge.org/9781107694408

One of the course lecturers is also co-author of Canoco 5
and CANOCO 4.5 software, and of TWINSPAN for Windows.
Both lecturers studied and work in the field of ecology,
so a no-nonsense explanation of all the statistical stuff
is assured.

We look forward to see you on our course!
