Details below:
EXECUTIVE DIRECTOR
Lancaster County Conservancy
Lancaster, Pennsylvania

About us:
Founded in 1969, the Lancaster County Conservancy (LCC) is a growing,
non-profit land trust with
deep roots and a highly positive reputation in Lancaster County, Pennsylvania.
We are one of the
region’s premier natural lands protection organizations and one of the first to
be fully accredited
by the Lands Trust Accreditation Commission. The Conservancy’s thirty-eight
forest preserves
represent over 5,400 acres, thirty miles of trails and thirty miles of
protected streams. The majority
of acreage is open for public recreation year-round. In addition, LCC has an
Urban Greening
Program that seeks to steward Lancaster’s urban environment by conserving
rainwater through
rain barrels, tree planting, pervious surfaces, green roofs and the development
of backyard
habitats.

Recognizing the lack of understanding of the value of nature, the LCC focuses
many programs on
the education of both children and adults. These education programs are part of
the Susquehanna
Riverlands Research and Education Center located at the Climber’s Run preserve.
In collaboration
with local universities, colleges, schools businesses and civic groups
throughout the county LCC
has become a leader in attempting to eliminate nature-deficit in the community.

Profile of Candidate:

The Executive Director (ED) must have a demonstrated record of success in a
variety of leadership,
management, finance and fundraising. Experience in land-protection programs is
preferred.
