Dear Colleagues, We are writing to alert you of an important event at ESA organized by the ESA Urban Ecosystem Ecology and Environmental Justice Sections as well as UrBioNet: A Global Network for Urban Biodiversity Research and Practice. On Wednesday August 12, the Environmental Justice and Urban Ecosystem Ecology Sections are teaming up for a joint business meeting and crosstown walk through Baltimore. The crosstown walk is a course module that can be used in graduate and undergraduate courses in Ecology or Urban Ecology for students to collect ecological and social data to understand the socio- ecological drivers of biodiversity in cities. Here we will introduce the crosstown walk in the city of Baltimore to our members and any other interested educators.
We will meet at 11:30 am in the Stone room at the Hilton conference center and leave from there for the crosstown walk. http://eco.confex.com/eco/2015/webprogram/Session11497.html We hope you can join us!
