Dear Ecolog,

As we all know, climate models are pretty good in broad strokes and not so good at local scales. In an effort to evaluate changing thermal conditions for estuarine species, I am trying to compile relevant nearshore/ shallow water temperature data for estuaries on the US east coast. Now, I'm sure that there are lots of folks who have thrown temperature loggers into shallow marshy areas, but I have not been able to find an easy way to get to these records. Of course, USGS and NOAA have great repositories for temperature data, but these are generally for deeper water. If you have temperature data for shallow marshy areas and are willing to share, please let me know offline. I will compile all the answers I get into an open access database. (Of course, if you know of a pre-existing archive for shallow / marsh temperature data, I'd be grateful for that too!)

Thanks alot!

Steve
