I’ve been conducting a fisheries survey along the Hudson River, NY (tidal). I will be deploying in-situ water quality probes. I was curious if anyone has any experience creating a customized mount for a water quality probe? I currently have two ideas in mind. - Creating a mooring and attaching the probe to the buoy/float (My concern about the mooring is at low tide the slack in the line would cause the probe to settle into the sediment). - Driving PVC/rebar into the sediment (My concern about the PVC or rebar is that the probe would get swept away). If anyone has any knowledge or experience installing in-situ water quality probes and wouldn’t mind sharing I would greatly appreciate it. Thank you, Evan
