The Ecological Society of America’s Office of Science Programs is conducting a survey on Sustaining Living Collections. We invite all managers and directors of US-based living collections to participate.
The objectives of this survey are to: 1) Assess the current state of living collections in the United States, and 2) Identify the most important sustainability concerns and needs of the living collections community now and in the future. We plan to discuss the results of this survey in a paper on sustaining living collections, which will be submitted to a peer-reviewed scientific journal for publication. We hope this publication will help communicate needs of the living collections community to a wide audience, as well as advocate for continued federal support of living collections. We thank you in advance for your participation in this effort. For more information and to access the survey, please visit: https://www.surveymonkey.com/r/livingcollections About the survey: Most of the questions are multiple choice. We anticipate that you may spend around 20-60 minutes completing the survey, depending on the level of detail of your answers to some of the free response questions. No questions are mandatory. You will be able to complete part of the questions and resume the survey later, providing you are accessing the survey from the same IP address. You will be able to make your submission anonymous. If you have any questions or concerns, please contact Jill Parsons at: [email protected] or call 202-833-8773 ext. 209.
