Hello All,

I teach an upper-level undergrad/grad course about weed biology and ecology.
I'm hoping to gather some ideas about plant competition experiments that
could be used in the classroom to demonstrate fundamental principles
governing intra- or inter-specific competition. I'd especially be interested
in ideas that could fit into a contest of sorts, where students would try to
design scenarios with specific hypothesized outcomes. I'm also especially
interested in showing how things like size inequalities and resource
requirements vs. availability can affect the outcomes of inter-specific
competition. If anyone has some example of exercise they have used in the
classroom, please share them with me. Thanks!

Greta
