*Seeking NE* * * *PARC Steering Committee Members*
We are currently seeking nominations for individuals interested in serving as a Northeast Partners in Amphibian and Reptile Conservation (NE PARC) Steering Committee member. The term for this position is at least one year with no maximum. The primary duties of individuals serving as Steering Committee members are to attend monthly teleconference calls (most months) and assist the Co-chairs with strategic planning and priority setting. Steering Committee members may also represent NE PARC at regional/local herpetological relate conferences and events. In order to diversify our membership we are particularly interested in nominations for the following: · Veterinarians, rehabilitators, zoos, aquaria, or museums · Member representing pet trade and/or herpetoculturists We will have 1-2 openings for the Steering Committee as of 2016 NE PARC meeting (August 10-11, 2016). The term for this position is two years, with the individual serving as the Junior Co-chair in the first year and Senior Co-chair in the second year. Duties of the Co-chair included serving as a liaison between NE PARC and National PARC, serving on the NE PARC Steering Committee and assisting this group in decision making related to NE PARC structure and overall direction, providing guidance to NE PARC working groups, and helping to plan the annual meetings.
