Are you working with vegetation models, specifically modeling semi-arid and
arid ecosystems? Are you interested in collaborating on coupling a
vegetation model with a population model representing ungulate grazers
(horses)? Are you interested in feedbacks between vegetation and consumers
in arid ecosystems and how these will be impacted by predicted changes in
climate?

If your answer to the above is yes, please send an e-mail of interest to

I am looking for, preferably, a senior grad student or a postdoc who is
proficient in modeling vegetation, i.e. uses vegetation models for everyday
research, and can allocate some time to collaborate remotely on this
project. Direction of this collaboration could be more applied (e.g.
determining how many mustangs an area can sustain in 30 yrs) or more
general about consumer—resource dynamics under climate change.
Unfortunately, I currently have no funds to support this collaboration, but
I am open to possibilities to apply for different grants.
