The School of Marine and Environmental Affairs (SMEA) at the University of
Washington (UW) invites your application for a nine-month (100% FTE)
tenure-track position at the rank of Assistant Professor (0116). We seek a
social scientist who will advance our understanding of dynamic relationships
between human societies and coastal or ocean environments, especially as
they pertain to the use or governance of space. Priority consideration will
be given to applicants conducting research focused on contested spaces,
uses, and boundaries; or coastal risks, hazards, and vulnerabilities.
