*A pair of new pieces :: News on the next issue*
------------------------------

Dear member of *The Ecological Citizen* community,

This week we have published two more Opinions online. The pieces, which
will also appear in our July 2018 issue (Vol 2 No 1), can be accessed via
the links below.

► Can edible insects really reduce our ecological footprint and save wild
species?: Read article
<http://www.ecologicalcitizen.net/article.php?t=can-edible-insects-reduce-ecological-footprint-save-wild-species>

► Why I'm vegan: Read article

Both contributions are by young UK-based authors – one a PhD student and
the other a musician and manager of an independent coffee shop. Their
pieces, which take our total number of articles published since launching
last year to 50, offer a preview of the partial theme of food that the next
issue will have.

We have articles lined up on food and agriculture by *Lisi Krall*, *Rob
Percival* (a food policy adviser for the Soil Association), *Colin Tudge*,
and *Wes Jackson's* team at the Land Institute. Additional contributors to
the issue, covering other topics, include *George Monbiot*, *Helen Kopnina*
and *Haydn Washington*, *John Piccolo*, *Joshua Barnett*, and *Colin Hines*.
And we are happy to report that we are on track to bring you this new issue
in early July.

For the Earth,

  Patrick Curry (Editor-in-Chief)
Eileen Crist, Adam Dickerson, Joe Gray and Ian Whyte (Associate Editors)
