Sarah Lawrence College seeks an ecologist to teach a one-semester course
in the fall 2018 semester. This course will be an introductory-level
course in any subfield of ecology of the applicant¹s choosing. Potential
subfields include (but are not limited to) aquatic ecology, marine
ecology, ecosystem ecology, or landscape ecology.

The position is a half time guest appointment, requires two full days on
campus, and is compensated as a half-time appointment. Aside from class
(max. 15 students), the faculty member will meet biweekly with each
student individually to work on a project culminating in a paper. Thus, we
seek a person dedicated to developing the research writing and analytical
skills of their students in addition to imparting the material of their
discipline. College level teaching experience is required. The successful
candidate may also wish to make use of the Sarah Lawrence Center for the
Urban River at Beczak (https://www.centerfortheurbanriver.org/) in their
teaching.
