Definitions

To a large extent language and definitions control our
thinking. We can play with words and sometimes move our
thinking into new areas or change our life. It isn't
necessary that our definitions be absolute truths, only
that they move us in a desired direction. Anyway, here
are some definitions that i find fun to play with:

Path - Steps suggested by a goal (objective) and plan (design).
Exploration (Adventure) could be viewed as a path with
a goal (knowledge about our world) and travel plan (rough map).

Ecopath - Series of "acts" or steps moving towards sustainability.

Sustainability - Collection of paths harvesting local energy
and resources in a cyclic fashion. The cycles
can be designed or merged with natural cycles.
Two additional components of these cycles are
                 diversity and ethics.

Reality - The natural world. Abstract reality such as math, science,
          and culture are not included.

Natural - The world once abstractions are removed. Abstractions
are things like math, science, and culture which only exist
when created by us. This also includes many of our creations
which are modeled on abstract reality and not nature. Generally
abstract creations are garbage in the natural world. They don't
          fit into cycles.

Cycle - An energy driven event which repeats and connects to other
cycles. Resources are re-used and any garbage produced is
        utilized by other cycles.

The limits of my language means the limits of my world.
                         - Ludwig Wittgenstein

Words are, of course, the most powerful drug used by mankind.
                         - Rudyard Kipling
