Sustainable Transportation
May 18 was "Ride Your Bike to Work Day". You might want to try it if you
haven't done so before. Doing so may prompt you to ask "what's the best
way to integrate bicycles and foot-traffic with public transit and other
forms of motorized transport?" There's no easy answer, but Michael
Replogle's fascinating study of "Non-Motorized Vehicles in Asia" provides
plenty of food for thought on this intriguing question.

American Council for an Energy Efficient Economy (ACEEE) is a great online
source for information on energy efficiency. If you are a consumer, check
out their "Consumer Guide to Home Energy Savings" and their "Green Guide
to Cars and Trucks". If you are involved in the energy efficiency
industry, look here for conferences and workshops that may be of interest.

sustainable energy future by promoting energy efficiency and renewable
energy. On their site you can find grant application forms, lists of all
the projects that they have funded, and informative essays about the
process of converting to a sustainable energy future. The Energy
Foundation is also a long-time CREST Internet Services client.
