Bug Banquets

A new book called "Man Eating Bugs" talks about how bugs are
eaten around the world. It is mostly a picture book which
teases those squeamish about eating bugs (me). Here are the
bugs mentioned in the first 43 pages:

Australia - Witchetty Grubs
            cystococcus echiniformis
            honey pot ants

Balinese - Dragon flys

Iran - cicadas

China - Beetles
        silk worm pupae
        scorpions

Indonesia - Sago Palm grub

Mexico - Stink Bug

Japan - Zaza-mushi
        grasshoppers
        bee larve
        silk worm pupae

Thailand - maeng man ants
           termites
           bamboo worms
           crickets
           water bugs (lethocerus indica)

So... is eating bugs part of connecting with nature? <grin>
