This looks like an interesting group and no doubt it will avail some good. But It is also interesting in other ways. As I read on. My thoughts develope....I have made interesting text BOLD in the letter. Text I think is important to look at. I am wondering what others may think I look forward to hearing replies..

>Hereby I present you an opportunity to become a member in a global network - called Club Planet - of future
>business leaders
who are committed to the concept of SUSTAINABLE DEVELOPMENT.

Oh yes looks good to me. I am all for sustainable development. (which word is most important sustainable or development?)

>The network, Club PLANET will be established in August 1999 in Hungary. The members of Club PLANET will be
>students/recent graduates from all over the 84 countries where AIESEC operates.
>

Oh it's international, it's good to have a global impact. (Maybe, maybe not)

>The Club is established with the support of different international organizations, and the members will use the
>network they have in their everyday business life after August 2000. The corporate sector is already interested in
>hiring the future Club members.

Which organizations??? I suppose this will create jobs...Well lets see who is supporting this club.

In my view judging by this group I would say this is all about developement....This sounds like a major green wash campaign by very large corporations and the ever stronger world bank. I iamgine the world bank as bringing these bussiness togather to explore and develope the markets in Hungry this club will help the sponsors look "Eco-friendly" to the new markets and to recruit and greenwash some folks and then give them jobs. However these corporations by design must always develope, must always seek more profit, must create more demand for products. Which only spells disatser. The world bank has a dismal enviromental record. I just don't think this club is about "sustainable" at all. I hate to be so cynical but thats the way these companies and institutions work. I think it would be better to focus only on sustainable and avoid development. I don't think the earth can take much more human development in any form and still sustain human and many other types of life..
Well thats my 2 cents worth. I hope you all can forgive my soapbox.
