Yes...Jeff the above make a lot of sense. I spent a good deal of time reading
all sorts of literature, getting brochures, specs on a number of composting
toilets. But to be honest none seemed to be that great.
Seems there's potential for a lot of problems due to the complexity of the
process, individual home's environment, proper mixing, waht's input and a
raft of other considerations far too complex for me. Heat, humidity,
oxygen,stirring, rotation,venting etc.etc.
let us know what you find. Flushing is not the best solution. I'm sold on the
concept of composting toilets...not the $$$ , expense, look, maintenance and
potential problems.
Thanks again Jeff.
BTW I read the Passive Solar Home some time ago...good book, lots of detail,
work sheets and climate tables that help you wade through very complex
stuff...for me at least:)
Well I'm off to my farm in Kentucky. I eventually hope to have some sort of
Eco-center there...devoted to teaching many of the ideas, and concepts we
discuss on this list. Some of you guys might make guest lecturers:) But's
that is a way down the road. Got to get a house built, pond built etc. I've
got my work cut out.
BTW if anyone is interested in such , or simply curious a friend has put up
some web pages for me at this site:

Let me know if interested.
Best to all. Frank
